MammothLIST - What Is It?
54What Mammoth List Is All About
Mammoth List started in May 2008 as a 5 level matrix plan designed to help internet marketers build a huge "mammoth list" and make some money doing it.
The program requires using AlertPay to accept payments from everyone that signs up for your list. ALERTPAY is a Canadian based online payment processor like PayPal with the important distinction that AlertPay allows MLM and network marketing related activities whereas paypal disallowed that years ago.
MammothList requires a one time investment of $12 with $2 going to each of the five people on your upline and a $2.00 slush fund for the website upkeep.
You can get started immediately by paying with Visa or Amex thru AlertPay or MasterCard with SafePay. However, safepay is only good for getting started. Once you've paid your upline, you are immediately given your affiliate link to go out and market.
You must eventually register for an AlertPay account to participate fully in the program. Additionally, if you plan on recieving more than a few hundred a month, you need to upgrade to a personal pro account or business account. If you are familiar with PayPal's options, this should be old hat to you.
You have to verify your personal pro alertpay account with a bank account etc. This doesn't have to be done right away as it will likely take a few days or weeks to get a lot of traffic going to your site. Unless of course you are already an internet marketer with a huge opt-in list you can market to immediately.
Mammoth List has a calculator on their site where you can calculate how much money you can make. It illustrates examples of "if you bring in 20 people and they bring in 20. . . etc."
Your first week or month - we'll call them cycles - would make you $40. If your 20 duplicate, you'd make $800 in cycle 2, then $16,000 in cycle 3 all the way to millions of dollars (theoretically).
Meanwhile, you will also be building a list of people containing their name, email and phone number (if given) in comma delimited format. However, keep in mind that everyone else above you will have the same leads so unless you are one of the very first people in the program, you will be sharing those leads with several other people.
At the end of June 2008 there were less than 5000 people in mammoth list and not everyone is going to be active in the program - as with any program.
Everyone loves to buy, but many people end up never doing anything with it. Much like home gym equipment. Good intentions without the action to back it up.
So for the rest of 2008 it's likely that mammoth list will be a good opportunity to jump into if you're actually going to market it.
Because of the low price point and unlikelihood of making more than several thousand dollars when all is said and done, it doesn't make a lot of sense to spend a lot of money on advertising.
If you know how to use free methods, you can dominate the search results and get plenty of eyeballs to your site without spending a dime in advertising.

This looks like a very intriguing process to me: Not only are you actively building a responsive list that will serve you as a basis for your future business. But you are being paid for doing so at the same time. Thank you for researching it so well.
Ideally you'd like to see this process expand lightening fast. With a tally reaching six figures in no time. But as you said that depends on people not only signing up but also being active in the program until they have at least signed up five more active(!) subscribers. Since everyone participating will benefit from it you'd presume they get busy and stay busy long enough.
I wonder what the best ways are to keeping the tree growing.
I've heard of people that would love to be busy in this but cannot afford the initial twelve bux at this point in time. This can be overcome quickly.
